Working Bee Archive

Sunday 26 April 2026

Aim for this Working Bee:

Unfortunately due to inclement weather the working bee on the 11th has been postponed till Sunday the 26th of April! This month we're relocating from Cape Paterson to Mouth of the Powlett River, Kilcunda. We will be assisting our friends from the Gippsland Threatened Species Network who are removing sea spurge from a critical Hooded Plover west of the river mouth.

Report by

A combined group of around 24 Gippsland Threatened Species Action Group and CPRRA members did a power of spurge removal in ideal sunny conditions to the west of the Mouth of the Powlett River. We managed to clear about 200 meters of low lying Hooded Plover habitat ready for next year's breeding season. We had a delectable lunch of sandwiches and (in light of proximity to the 25th of April) Anzac slices. Thanks Alison and Leone for the refreshments.
